Exhibition in Warsaw Castle 21 April-20 May 2016
In conjunction with the HERA-funded international research project Marrying Cultures: Queens Consort and European Identities 1500-1800 PD Dr Almut Bues of the German Historical Institute, Warsaw, has organised an exhibition entitled ROYAL MARRIAGES OF PRINCES AND PRINCESSES IN THE POLISH-LITHUANIAN COMMONWEALTH, c. 1500-1800. The opening will take place at 18.00 on 21 April. Music will be provided by Maria Skiba (soprano), a member of the Marrying Cultures team. She will be accompanied on the lute by Frank Pschichholz.
Accompanying the exhibition is a competition ‘Królewskie pary’ [Royal Couples] for schoolchildren (classes 1-3 and 4-6).
