Early modern festival books - official accounts of court and civic festivals - are usually sober works of factual reporting. However, they are sometimes also useful sources for the history of emotions.
The first Marrying Cultures workshop brought together a experts on court culture in order to discuss approaches to object-based research relating to the cultural impact of consorts in the early modern period.
The first Marrying Cultures workshop will be held in Wolfenbüttel on 15-18 July 2014, and will be an opportunity for scholars from around the world who specialise in cultural exchange studies to come together and exchange ideas.
The programme for the workshop is now available and can be viewed on the event page. Please contact us if you would like any more information.
